Coffee-core

Next time you and your buddies from AA are thinking about buying a round of seven dollar coffees at Starbucks, maybe you should consider purchasing an equally pricey coffee that is not from Starbucks. HIGHER GROUND was named "Most Liberal Coffee" by Birmingham Weekly. It is 100% organic, fair trade, and shade grown to preserve harvest. If you get it at the Crestwood Coffee Company you will be supporting a local business as well. I enjoy the Magic City Blend, the Alabama Rivers Alliance River Roast blend (very dark and rich), and the Alabama Environmental Council blend.

even in my compleat misanthropy i still remain dazzlingly confused as to why in the fuck people shell out big money to drink burnt coffee that tastes like shit, no matter how much soy milk or cow pus you dollop! as if it weren't bad enough, starbucks had to go and throw up another location exactly three blocks away NEXT TO A LOCALLY OWNED COFFEE SHOP (which i have also never patronized). HELPFUL TIP: if you ever need hot water, go into starbucks with your mug and they will give it to you free. it's great when people shoplift their cds and then come across the street to sell them to charlemagne and my boss BUYS the stuff! like we don't already have enough crap in the store! where was i going with this?

Sometimes I like to imagine what would happen if Rev. Billy came into a local Starbucks . . .
