As you may have already guessed, I love Japanese psych music. After country, I'd say it is perhaps the genre I listen to most often. I listen to it about as much as I imagine the average ten year old boy listens to pop punk or as much as the average M.F.A. candidate listens to Krautrock. I love hearing those blues riffs played through buzzy amps. I love the insistence on using one's vocal chords as a percussion instrument. I even love the paper and mylar CD covers.
So of course I am excited that ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE will be playing this Thursday at Bottletree. They have done everything from slow dream folk to Terry Riley's INC. Did someone tell me they lived on a commune? I hope so.

shit. i guess i need to go buy some records. looks like kraftwerk alone won't cut it.
when is your lecture being re-scheduled? i was totally planning on coming.
kraftwerk is not enough. you will need more guru guru, can, amon duul, ash ra tempel, neu!, and tangerine dream to start with. you should also consider listening to television's "marquee moon" at least once a day, if not twice.
lecture shall be week after next.
